You vs. Us

Posted: May 25, 2012 in So called Poetry

You,
with your pretty clothes and dresses
and your big luxuries and satin faces
and your hair combed and done up
nicely.

You.
chirping like the centre of  universe
your talks full of complain and curse
mighty, rich, young, caught up in the
rush.

You.
heads high like masters of the tribe
always behaving out of your minds
always wearing the glossy, shining
Ties.

Us.
rough, rotten, like the sharp edges
the ones you didn’t want to touch
the left out ones, with no warmth
as such.

Us.
the fewer ones that never quite fitted
the ones you always whispered about
we always left room, sensing you were
to Shout.

Us.
downtrodden, awkward and always sad,
scraping through adolescence, crying
tripping over our own wounds, doubts &
insecurities.

Us.
uncased, abandoned, and left to the fate
children of god, with no hatred to ensue
but time n again we are happy , on being
human, and not you.
